We originally met Andrew when he called us to do some very small maintenance work around this beautiful home, built more than 100 years ago. Andrew later decided he wanted to do a bathroom renovation and some small alterations, and we were happy to oblige him. In order to maintain coherence with this grand home, very specific skills and products were required.

 

We removed some walls to make a new ensuite and powder room
Had to build new walls and repair the floors to match the existing interior
The fit out of the ensuite and powder room had to be to exact: in order to match         the panelling that we couldn’t restore, we needed to create new panels in the            exact style, with care and precision
  Due to the older nature of the home, there was also a need to upgrade a lot of             electrical work and remove the old steel plumbing pipes and replace them,                   while creating a seamless transition between the old classy style and new                     conveniences

Melrose Rd

BRS first met with Rhonda & Dene in early July 2015. It quickly became apparent that not only were they were the loveliest couple, Rhonda particularly was showing a real sense of style, vision and organisation – arriving with lists of preferred products right down to bathroom fittings being all picked out down to the taps and mixers. Rhonda’s clear vision of how she wanted the house to look and feel really came out in the project, and as you can see from the finished product, her choices were spot on.

Added 40m2 extension to the rear of the house

 

  We moved some of the interior walls to maximise the space they had available

 

Added large bathroom

 

  We also added a master bedroom with ensuite and walk in wardrobe

 

  The house also needed a full reclad of the exterior, removing all the Hardies
        Board and replacing it with A-line timber weatherboards

 

  We fitted new double glazed aluminium joinery and insulated the entire house

Godley rd

Darsha and Neeraj had decided that with two young children, the family was fast out growing their family home, so they first met with BRS in January 2015 with plans at the ready for expansion. They had already determined that they needed a 32m2 extension at the rear of the house, complete with new bedroom and ensuite.  Check out their testimonial click here.

There were a few challenges as our clients and their three children were still living in the home, but we completed the renovation to our usual high standards – and our clients are very pleased with their “new” home.

 

We took a 1920’s bungalow in Onehunga from a standard 147m2 three bedroom,      
        One bathroom home and opened it up and by adding an extra 25m2

 

  We made an entirely new bedroom

 

  We removed a lowered ceiling at the back of the house to make full use
        Of space  and light through the kitchen and dining area

 

  Removed some internal walls to get a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area

 

In an effort to get more out of the daylight hours, a new window
        Was fitted to brighten up one of the bedrooms

Hamon Ave Three Kings

With a growing family and no room for the kids these clients decided to engage BRS Ltd to extend their home. Working on a tight budget and an even more constrained site BRS Ltd were able to deliver beyond what the clients expected, which started as a 2 bedroom state house and is now a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom.

With the scope of the project being impossible to ascertain BRS Ltd were selected because of their proven track record of high quality projects and their full list of satisfied  clients. This Remuera Villa project involved:
